Congratulations to the Avon Marching Black and Gold for capturing their 2nd consecutive Bands of America Grand National Championship! Avon becomes the second band in Indiana history to capture the Eagle more than once (Lawrence Central 2001, 2004) and the first band in the nation since 1991 to repeat as Grand National Champions in back to back years. Their show was entitled “Comm-UNIFORM-ity,” as they wrapped up their undefeated season.
 
Carmel placed 5th with a very strong showing of their show “”Virtue-OSITY”, while Lawrence Central was 8th with “To Begin Again”, and Center Grove 9th with “Music Box Macabre.” Congratulations to all of these outstanding bands on an outstanding finish to end 2009!!!
